Bus, taxi or
private transfer?
There is no train to Essaouira or Agadir, so between Essaouira, Marrakech and Agadir you travel by road. Coaches (CTM and Supratours) are the cheapest and run on a timetable between stations. Shared grand taxis are fast but tight and leave when full. A rental car gives freedom but you drive and park yourself. A private transfer costs more but takes you door to door, at any time, with your luggage and a licensed driver.

In detail
What to
know.
Coaches: CTM and Supratours
Comfortable air-conditioned coaches with a fixed timetable and luggage in the hold. You book a seat, go to the station and take a taxi at the other end.
Shared grand taxis
Old Mercedes or Dacia cars shared by six passengers, leaving from taxi stations when full. Quick and cheap, but little legroom and luggage space.
Rental car
The best way to explore freely. Roads between the three cities are good; in Essaouira you park outside the medina walls.
Private transfer
One fixed price per vehicle, not per person: for a family or a group it can cost about the same as several coach tickets plus taxis — without the waiting.
Is there a train?
No. The ONCF railway stops at Marrakech in the south; it does not reach Essaouira or Agadir.
Airports
Flights land at Essaouira (ESU), Marrakech (RAK) and Agadir (AGA). Coaches do not wait for flights; a private driver follows yours.
