Train and bus
ONCF trains run from Casablanca to Marrakech in under 3 hours; from there a CTM or Supratours coach takes about 3 more hours to Essaouira.
Direct coach
A few coaches run directly from Casablanca to Essaouira. They are cheap but long, with several stops.
Rental car
Motorways make most of the drive easy. Leave time for the last two-lane section and plan to park outside the Essaouira medina.
