Essaouira-Mogador Airport (ESU) is about 15 km from the medina, roughly a 20-minute drive. There is no train and buses are rare, so most travellers take a taxi at the exit or book a private transfer: a driver waits at arrivals with a name sign and drives you to the closest gate of the medina or to your hotel. A private transfer costs from about 200 DH per vehicle.

Riad in the medina
Cars stop at the closest gate, such as Bab Sbaa or Bab Marrakech. Porters with carts carry luggage through the lanes for a small tip.
