How much is a hot air balloon ride in Marrakech?
From 960 MAD per person (about €90) for the shared flight, 2,400 MAD for the classic flight, 6,360 MAD per adult for a private balloon and 7,560 MAD for the Royal Flight with breakfast on board. Hotel pickup and breakfast are included.
Is breakfast and transfer included in the Marrakech balloon ride?
Yes. Every flight includes pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech, coffee and tea, the flight, a Berber breakfast (or breakfast on board for the Royal Flight) and the drive back.
What time does the balloon flight start?
Pickup is before sunrise so you fly at dawn. The exact time changes with the season and is confirmed the evening before; you are usually back at your hotel late morning.
Is a hot air balloon ride in Marrakech safe?
Flights only take off when the weather is right, and the pilot gives a safety briefing before every flight. If the wind or weather is not suitable, the flight is cancelled and we help you choose another date.
What should I wear?
Warm layers (it is cold before sunrise, especially from November to March), closed flat shoes, a cap and sunglasses. Avoid long scarves near the burner.
What is the best time of year?
Balloons fly all year. From October to April the air is clear and the Atlas is often snow-capped; in summer, pickup is earlier because the sun rises sooner.
Can children fly?
Yes, from 3 years old. Children from 3 to 10 have a child price on the private flight.
Is hotel pickup included?
Yes: by 4x4 for the classic, private and royal flights, and by shared minibus for the shared flight, anywhere in Marrakech.
